You are exhausted, tired, and frustrated, 

You pretend all is well but every weekend you get wasted you,

You who are depressed, yes I know, I see those tears, yes, this isn’t your best,

I know, you when I say go, keeps saying no,

No, because you feel too much shame, no because you feel you’ve gone too far for Him to touch you, yes you! 

You who are tired of Religion, you are fed up of falling, too busy to hear him calling yea you,

You who feel you’re too young to be used, you who have been placed in the backseats and shelves, yea I am talking to you,

I love you and you are chosen,

Just like I chose David, Joseph at a young age,

Today your life is being rewritten, I’m turning a new page,

Moving you from the crowd to the stage,

There is no sin my blood cannot cleanse, no darkness where my light can’t reach,

Quit running and just surrender completely and listen,

I understand I’ve been through it, the hate, rejection, betrayal, temptations, and sweat,

There isn’t anything that I wouldn’t do for you, my child, 

You are mine, signed and sealed loved deeper than the deepest of oceans,

In the stillness

When we’re sleeping,in our deepest dreams He will knock,

and knock but who will answer?

When we’re playing,standing for our rights, He’ll pass through the crowd,come like a thief in the night, but will we see him?

INTERVIEW WITH SINGER/SONG WRITER Jenillia Maronie Richards

Habakkuk 2:3

For the vision is for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie, though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Jenillia Maronie Richards or Solace her preferred stage name is short   but powerful as she demonstrated her dynamic energy  two weeks ago at the Sinach concert held in the Commonwealth of Dominica on November 25^th. Solace as the name suggest brought comfort and joy to the thousands that were present at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium leaving her catchy rhythms on the lips of several.

Having been born in a family of singers and dancers she was no stranger to music and it became a natural gift to her to sing and write songs of her own. She started at the tender age of seven singing Jesus loves me, a song that still resonates throughout her career today as she has established herself as a gospel artist.

She recalls her big break from shyness and leading in song as a teenager when her worship director asked her to lead worship one Sunday as he saw she had the potential to do so. She hasn’t shy away from singing ever since as she is grateful that her music can minister hope and deliverance. Solace has since backed up for several renown artists such as Positive ,Marvia Providence, Bridget Blucher and Emrand Henry just to name a few.

Though her gift was freely given by God, she did enhance it by enrolling herself in voice training classes, worship seminars, following tips via youtube and seeking mentorship from more experienced artists. She also plans on growing her act by learning to play the guitar at a Christian music school in December.

Her greatest inspirations are her husband and Music Manager Vincent Richards, loving parents, along with some musical artists such as Chevelle Franklin and Hillsong United. Solace has written and performed several of her songs such as Remedy, Praise Him Anyways, Shake it off, I believe, Rising Higher, Unity Time and I am Free amongst others. A mix of Soca, Worship, Cadence-lypso,Zouk an Reggae genres. She is currently working on her debut album “My God shall Supply”.

Having such a deep passion for music lead her to host her first ever GospeLypso concert held in Dominica in 2017 though the idea received a lot of criticism from persons who felt gospel and Calypso don’t mix, she stated God is the creator of Music and Calypso is only a music genre. The show proved to be a resounding success, so much so that patrons are asking for a second one, winner of that show was Berly Samuel better known as Lady B.

Solace is destined for greatness and she is a pure example of how far talent, hard work and a lot of faith can take you. Her biggest music break was not too long ago at the Sinach concert, an opportunity she has been praying for. As Exposure and putting ones music out there has been her biggest challenge as a Gospel artist in Dominica.

The interview ends with a word of advice to aspiring artists to always work on their music, never give up on their dreams, speak life over their selves, stay close to God, take the time to enhance ones skill and she encourages them to affiliate themselves with more experienced artists to learn, observe and grow.

Don’t walk into the light,though its what I’m getting used to,Don’t walk off on us just yet,

Come back,step back into this tunnel,and i’m praying that you find some decency in you which will give light to the pathway that will guide you back home. While you were here,i know you danced on the broad path,stayed up late and flirted with darkness,you were not always nice and you oftentimes cursed the God that made you so beautiful,and claimed he didn’t exist you darn fool!

I was always  angry at your decisions,for hating me for standing on that hill, and waving so you could see me,and that you’d see how strong He makes me, but  your wind and energy were aimed to out my flame,you wanted to be water to my fire,now for your sake i wish that water would cleanse you,so God would please spare you,so

Therefore let us not build permanent structures in temporary shelters.
Jesus didn’t come with softer beds & comfy pillows to make prison life comfortable.
He didn’t bring a divine maintenance crew with gallons of fresh heavenly paint to cover up the holes & cracks of the prison walls.
Jesus came “…to set the captives free.” Luke 4:18. Jesus isn’t seeking to remodel, redecorate or recondition our world – He seeks to liberate us from it. We’re in the world but NOT of the world.
Financial bondage, relational bondage’s, substance abuse bondage’s, sexual perversion bondage’s, or whatever It is that is holding you back;
Jesus is more than able & willing to set you free. Today we can be liberated from prison power.
